Sherri McClurg, Psy.D.
Child Psychologist, Managing Director
Dr. Sherri McClurg provides counseling and psychological testing services to children and adolescents. Dr. McClurg is specialized in child and adolescent clinical psychology, as well as forensic psychology. She is certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and works with children and teens who are victims of crime, natural disaster, and childhood abuse.
Prior to joining the practice, Dr. McClurg served at Bellefaire JCB in Lorain County as the Division Director for Outpatient Services. She developed both outpatient and school-based mental health programs and has worked with schools, children services, and courts to design intervention programs for at-risk youth and victims of trauma. She contributed to the design of a nationally recognized Juvenile Offender Program to evaluate youth adjudicated for crimes of violence.
Dr. McClurg also serves as the CEO for New Horizons for Children, an international hosting program for orphaned children. She is a certified speaker, coach, and trainer with the John Maxwell Team and has provided leadership development to young people and adults both domestically and internationally. She partners with local public/private schools, churches, and community groups to provide staff training, consultation, and parenting workshops.
Dr. Sherri is married and has three children. Her middle child has profound autism, leading her to become involved with a variety of programs and interventions for children with special needs and their families.
